What is the difference between scanning electron microscope and scanning probe microscope?

I wanted to have a sample analyzed through scanning electron microscope (SEM) but the testing center only has scanning probe microscope (SPB). Is it relatively the same? What's the difference?

Thanks in advance!|||SEM uses an electron beam and looks at scatter of the beam - it can differentiate between amount of electrical conduction

SPB uses a stylus needle and images bumps on surface - it can get down to atomic level.

If you crank up SEM voltage you can "see" somewhat below the surface

SPB on sees surface

you got to go with what you have|||SEM uses x-ray detectors to detect the ENERGY LEVEL of the emitted x-rays. An Electron Microprobe uses its spectrometers to detect the Wavelength of the emitted x-rays.
