|||on another note, people commonly assume we are at the middle of our galaxy, this is not correct. we are actually close to the edge.

They were built to last, and they will most likely last 20-40 years more.|||Voyager 1 and 2 are heading out of the solar system, one of them took a photo of the earth sometime back and was just a speck of light . They may not make it out of the galaxy tho, it's a long way before they can gather energy from another star. So they may not even make it to the next sun which is light years away.
